C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing:

This is a Three Day Course which describes fully to Candidates the requirements within BS7671:2008 & The IEE Guidance Notes 3 regarding Inspection & Testing. The Course leads to a 2.5 Hour written examination, which is closed book.

The course covers such areas as:

•Basic Layout of the Wiring Regulations - and how to refer to them in written form
•The Law & Legal Terms - leading into Direct & Indirect Contact (Basic & Fault Protection)
•Earthing - The Four Earths and the Earth Fault Loop Path
•The Inspection process - including General Characteristics
•GS38 & Test Instruments
•The Test Sequence
•Additional Tests (PFC - Earth Electrode)

•How to complete a revision Test Sequence Chart
•Testing procedures
•Certification & Documentation
•Circumstantial Information pertaining to Inspection & Testing
•The Exam process - including Revision Techniques
•The Mathematics of Inspection & Testing
•PIR Procedure (Periodic Inspection Report Completion)

Courses run once every two months and candidates are encouraged to book early, as we cut off places for each course at 15. Candidates are invited to complete the Practical element once they have passed the examination.
